Categories and Types
Absorbs most visible light and transmits infrared light. Widely used in infrared alarm and night vision devices.
The filters that block visible light and transmit only ultraviolet light. Used in UV discriminators, UV light metering equipment, fluorescence light generators, etc.
These filters transmit visible and absorb infrared light. Effectively absorb heat emitted from light source making it extremely useful in slide projectors and lighting devices.
The filters adjust the intensity of visible light to an average through all visible spectrum. Decreases only the amount of light without changing color or contrast. Widely used to shoot too bright objects or objects with strong reflectivity properties.
